After graduating from North Summit High School, he earned a degree in accounting from Weber State. He was born July 5, 1938, as one of the triplets (Vern, Verl, and Vera) born to Osmyn and Rachel Wright, of Henefer, Utah. He worked as a security guard, crossing guard and he went to school for welding at Utah Tech which is the vocation he stuck with for 28 years.
